Karen M. Leser-Grenon

Karen M. Leser-Grenon joined SFMS in 2005. Karen is admitted to practice law in the States of California, Connecticut, New York as well as numerous federal courts, including the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California. She is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. In addition to these courts and jurisdictions, Karen has worked on cases with local counsel and co-counsel throughout the country and internationally. 
 
Karen's practice is concentrated on representing clients in consumer, employment, intellectual property cases, and whistleblowers in federal False Claims Act cases. With respect to intellectual property matters, Karen has assisted in the prosecution of patent applications and has prosecuted trademark and copyright applications. She has counseled clients on patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation matters and assisted small businesses in their development of intellectual property portfolios. She has litigated and counseled clients concerning disputes involving the protection and enforcement of patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Karen is also experienced in handling a variety of antitrust, securities and other complex commercial matters. Finally, Karen has substantial experience representing clients in employee benefit, health and life insurance cases and other matters. 
 
Karen earned her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park (B.S. 1997) and her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law (J.D. 2001). Before joining the Firm, Karen practiced law in Connecticut and California, where she concentrated her practice on securities, antitrust, consumer and intellectual property litigation. In 2005, Karen joined the Firm's office based in Chester, Connecticut. 
 
Karen is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. Karen is a volunteer with Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut, Inc., and the International Institute of Connecticut. She resides in Clinton, Connecticut with her husband, Ryan, daughter, Madeleine, and son, Cameron.
