Judge Approves Settlement In Shareholder Derivative Case

Shepherd, Finkelman, Miller & Shah, LLC announces that on February 15, 2008, the Superior Court of California, San Mateo County, the Honorable Carol L. Mittlesteadt presiding, approved a settlement in a shareholder derivative class action on behalf of SupportSoft Systems, Inc. (“SupportSoft”) The settlement includes key corporate governance changes at SupportSoft, including the hiring of a new Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, the addition of four new SupportSoft directors, three of whom are independent, reforms concerning the Board of Director responsibilities, Board education and training, reforms concerning auditors and the compensation of executives, and changes to the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
