SFMS Attorneys To Speak at Class Action Litigation Strategies Conference

Shepherd, Finkelman, Miller & Shah, LLP (“SFMS”) is pleased to announce that SFMS Attorneys, James E. Miller and Jayne A. Goldstein, will be speaking at the Class Action Litigation Strategies Conference in New York City on July 22, 2010. The Conference is sponsored by Practicing Law Institute (“PLI”) and will be held at PLI’s New York Center. The Conference will include outstanding attorneys who prosecute or defend class actions. These attorneys will discuss open issues under the Class Action Fairness Act, strategy to effectively litigate a class certification motion, effective strategies to use in mediation and evolving pleading requirements and their effect on class action litigation. The Conference will feature Professors John C. Coffee of Columbia University and Arthur W. Miller of New York University, who will discuss the future of class actions. SFMS Attorney Jayne Goldstein will be co-chairing the Conference with Attorney Howard S. Suskin of Jenner & Block LLP. Attorney Goldstein will be serving as a moderator on various panels throughout the day. SFMS Attorney James Miller will be a panelist discussing strategies for a successful mediation.
